You + me = patio sangria đč
When I was growing up, summer meant a few things:
Piano camp
Band camp
Jazz camp
(you might be detecting a theme here haha)
In short, for me, summer meant going to a lot of camps. Most of them were music-related because I was very into piano.
But what summer really meant - and what I looked forward to most - was the change in routine.
This will come as a surprise to no one, but I was one of those extremely over-scheduled kids.
During the school year, I typically had one activity before school started (6am skating - why not!!) and then 1-2 activities after school too.
Plus I started my own biz teaching piano in grade 7 because your girl over here loves to be her own boss. I had one goal when I started that business: to buy a combo CD and 2 cassette player. And I did it haha. My little studio grew to 12 students. And at $10 / lesson - that meant $120/week!! This was a lot back in 1995 haha.
Anywho, looking back, I loved to jam-pack my school time but summer was meant to be a lot different and a bit slower.
Friend - I think I know a few things about you:
Somewhere, somehow you have a list of Summer Projects that you keep..
- Maybe itâs a notepad on the corner of your desk.
- Maybe itâs in your Notes app on your iPhone.
- Whatever.
Point is - there are things on this list that you know you should do but never seem to get around toâŠ. Iâm talking about:
Reorganizing your admin team because honestly AI is probably doing half their job now anyway (aka you probably donât need 1 admin person for every 5 professionals anymore)
Maybe youâve always wanted a second location or dreamt of franchising your already-successful-biz. But you havenât taken any steps to make this happen. Guess who probably is making this happen? Your competitor.
Gone through a merger recently? Chances are your org chart needs a full-blown makeover to ensure that youâre not paying two (or more) people to do the same job.
And what about those swim-chart diagrams documenting your pre-AI workflows and admin processes?? How are those going lol?
If you're starting to get overwhelmed by the amount of projects you've been saving for the summer.. you and I both know they're not going to get done lol.
So I have an opportunity for you that you're going to love and it involves patio drinks..
Here's what I'm proposing: you + me = meeting up for drinks one night in the next couple of weeks where we can chat about the summer projects you have going on and how my team can help you tackle them so you can start Q4 fresh as a daisy.
(And if youâre not in Stoon, weâll chit-chat over Zoom)
Patio sangria is on the table (literally haha). Hit reply, and Iâll send you a couple dates that work to chat.
Summer is the perfect time for a change of pace - whether thatâs band camp or working on a revised org chart.
So if you want your next few months to allow you to finally cross off the list one of your very own summer projects, letâs chat.
Curious about how we've been helping other organizations similar to yours??? Here's what my colleague, Elanne Krainyk, and I have been working on lately for our clients:
CEO function doc where we outline this personâs core responsibility, focus areas, and decision-making scope so they are only doing the right tasks on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual basis. And more importantly, not getting involved in stuff they shouldn't.
Revisit their org chart and create a strategic hiring/firing plan so the current team meets the needs of the current biz
Developing a custom scorecard to ensure that growth efforts are happening efficiently from both an ops and a profitability perspective
Creating a new workflow process to turn files around more quickly that leans on AI and automation - while maintaining a âhigh touchâ feel from the clientâs side
So if you're ready to knock off those summer projects, letâs meet up..
HIT REPLY to this email and just let me know you're interested and we can chat dates.
From your favourite band camp nerd,
Tanya
